Introduction:
As you prepare to appear in NEET UG 2019, it is a smart thing to know about most important chapters and their relevance (distribution) in the entrance examination. One who attends regular coaching classes as part of preparations may get tips from experts (from his / her teacher) about which chapters are most important and to which the candidate should pay more attention. We all know that the NEET UG entrance examination is scheduled to be conducted on May 5th, 2019 between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM. The duration of the examination is 3 Hours, that is 180 Minutes. It is almost December and you should have already completed your preparations for NEET UG 2019 by last month itself. Preparations basically covers the entire syllabus - For theory you must refer to NCERT text books as they cover the NEET syllabus most comprehensively. Prepare, Practice and Perform:
Preparation basically covers everything you do to groom yourself for the examination – you attend your classes both academic and special coaching, scribble diagrams, work roughly around getting an equation correct. Practice, on the other hand covers practice questions, take online mock tests, analyzing and understanding the previous year questions and patterns etc. Performance, refers to the specific actions you take to ensure that on the exam day, in the exam hall, you capitalize on the preparations you have done throughout the year.
Remember, each of these works out well only if the ordered above is carefully done. Ex. Your performance yields better only if you prepare well for the examination and had done repeated practice.
Strategy for NEET 2019:
With just a few months left for the examination, your preparation for the examination should be in a full swing. Of course, there are some who doesn't started any preparations yet or doesn't even know how to kickoff and face it. It is advisable for those not to attend NEET 2019 - you shall prepare well and attend NEET 2020. As the level of competition is very high in NEET, you need to be well prepared to appear in NEET in order to get a seat in one of the top medical colleges in India. If you haven't studied well in your "Class XI" and left so many things, it is better that you should start preparing on those at least now. Remember: NEET syllabus includes only topics and concepts, it may come from any of your academic books (Class XI & XII) or even some other reference books as well.

Prioritize topics:
If you analyze the previous year papers the exam pattern will reveal some topics that are extremely important for the NEET UG 2019. You can prioritize these topics depending on your interest and study them. Remember, you have to do them all, sooner or later anyway. Since the exam will be devoid of any direct questions, it is important to give an honest attempt to learning and understanding the content.

Practice more:
You must complete 180 questions in 180 minutes, which means you have only 1 minute for each question. It is very important that you should manage your time wisely to solve most number of questions. But this is a skill, to improve this skill you must practice.
The more you practice would help you to understand the nature of question asked on each chapter and subject. Remember there is negative marking for your wrong answers (-1 for wrong answer). It is a smart thing to leave the question unanswered if you didnt know answer or you do not have any idea about the answer. Many people do guesswork if they didn't know the answer, it may result in a negative scoring trend on your score card.
Practice Tactics:
It is very important, that you must be in a very healthy state (both physical and mentally) to be more productive on the entrance examination date. Take care of your health, sleep well, take regular exercises like yoga and meditation, keep your mind calm. General Tips:
- First use your NCERT books - These books are very well written
- Learn the basic mathematics like trigonometry and calculus properly.
- Have an in-depth understanding of concepts and don't just mug up the formula or read the theory without understanding it.
- Apply method of elimination for MCQ questions.
- Take regular mock tests and practice previous year question papers.
- Solve some simple examples which could clear your concepts.
- Solve the problems by drawing the figures and do not look at the solution while solving.
- In the beginning it would take a lot of time but at the end you can easily approach questions related to the subject.
