NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST - NEET PG 2019
Introduction
National Board of Examinations (NBE) is conducting a NEET PG 2018 for MD/MS courses. National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test – Post Graduate (NEET PG) is a national level test whose scores are accepted by most of the medical/dental colleges situated across the country (except for colleges situated in Jammu & Kashmir and Erstwhile Andhra Pradesh). The NBE also conducts NEET MDS 2018 examination for providing admissions in MDS courses. Here, we are providing the complete information about NEET PG 2018.

Counselling
After the result declaration, the merit list may be published by the conducting authority. Candidates may be called for the counselling procedure on the basis of the merit list. The NEET PG counseling 2018 will be undertaken by the Medical Counseling Committee for All India 50% quota seats. The counselling registration for All India quota seats is starts from 2nd Week of March 2018. There may no counselling fee to be paid for the participation in the counseling process. NEET PG 2018 and NEET MDS 2018 round-1 result of seat allotment has been declared on March 2018.
Counselling For All India 50% Quota Seats: NEET PG 2018 counselling for all India 50% quota seats will be conducted by Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) of Directorate General of Health Services, Government on the basis of NEET PG 2018 results.
Counselling For State Quota Seats: Counselling for admission to state quota seats will be conducted by the concerned States /designated authority /University. The counselling will be done on the basis of NEET PG 2018 scores.
Counselling For Admission to Private Medical Colleges, Institutes, Universities, Deemed Universities: NEET PG 2018 counselling for admission to private medical colleges, institutes, University, deemed Universities will be supervised by the concerned counselling authority of these colleges.
Counselling For Admission to Armed Forces Medical Service Institutions: Admissions in the armed forces medical service institutions will be done through counselling conducted by the Directorate General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS), Ministry of Defence, Government of India. Seat allotment will be purely based on NEET PG 2018 scores.
Documents required at the time of admission:
- High School/Higher Secondary Certificate/Birth Certificate.
- NEET PG 2018 Admit Card.
- Rank Letter.
- MBBS Mark Sheets.
- MBBS Degree Certificate.
- Internship Completion Certificate.
- Permanent/Provisional Registration Certificate issued by MCI OR State Medical Council.
- Identity Proof.
- Category Certificate.
Result
NEET PG Result 2018 has been declared on 31st January 2018. Candidates can get the result cum score card of NEET PG 2018 to check the all India rank. Result for 50% All India quota seats has been announced on 1st Week of February 2018. Candidates can check their results through online mode. There will be no provision for re-checking/re-totaling/re-evaluation of the answer sheets. Result will be valid only for one year of taking the test.
Qualifying Marks
To be eligible for admission, students need to secure at least 50% percentile(40% percentile for SC/ST/OBC candidates) in NEET PG. Minimum percentile for PWD candidates (locomotory disability of lower limbs) will be 45%.
Tie Breaking Criteria
If two or more candidates scores equal marks in entrance examination then inter se merit will be determined by providing preference to the candidates older in age.

Application Form
Candidates can fill & submit the NEET PG Application Form 2018 through online process only. The NEET PG & NEET MDS Online registration was started from the 31st October 2017. The last date of registration was extended till 27th November 2017. At the time of application form filling, candidates may select the test centre, date and time for the examination. Keep the printout of the confirmation page for future use.
Application Fee
The application fee for NEET PG 2018 and NEET MDS 2018 is Rs. 3750/- for GEN/OBC category candidates & Rs. 2750/- for SC/ST/PWD/PH candidates. Candidates can submit the fee through online payment gateway (Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking). The fee might non-refundable.
Eligibility Criteria
The NEET PG Eligibility Criteria are mentioned here:
- Candidate must be Indian Citizen.
- Candidates must hold an MBBS degree issued by the Medical Council of India/ State Medical Council.
- Candidates have to complete their one year rotating internship on or before 31st March 2018.
The NEET MDS Eligibility Criteria is given here:
- Candidate should be India National/Person of India Origin /Overseas Citizen of India card holder.
- Students should have a BDS degree from any dental college recognized by Government of India.
- Candidate must have completed the one year compulsory rotatory internship in an recognized college.
- In case of candidate’s rotatory internship is likely to complete by 31st March 2018 are eligible for this exam.
Exam Pattern for NEET PG 2018
- Course Name: It is conducted for MD/MS and PG diploma courses.
- Exam Mode: NEET PG will be conducted in online mode (CBT).
- Number of Questions: Total 300 questions will be asked in the examination.
- Question Paper Type: MCQ type questions will be appeared in the examination for which there will be only one correct response.
- Exam Timings: The duration of the examination will be 3 Hrs. 30 min. Exam will be conducted in forenoon and afternoon session. Timings for forenoon session will be 10:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. and for afternoon session, timings will be 3:45 p.m to 7:30 p.m.
- Test Date: 7th January 2018
- Marking Scheme: There will be no negative marking in this examination.

- Exam Timings: The duration of the examination will be 3 Hrs. 30 min. Exam will be conducted in forenoon and afternoon session. Timings for forenoon session will be 10:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. and for afternoon session, timings will be 1:15 p.m to 6:30 p.m.
- Test Date:7th January 2018

Documents Required at the Examination Hall
To appear the examination, students need to bring the following documents at the examination hall:
- Photocopy of admit card with photograph (in prescribed specifications) pasted on it.
- One original Identity Proof which may be PAN Card, Aadhaar Card (With photograph), Driving License, Voter Id or Passport.
- Photocopy of permanent and provisional SMC/MCI registration.
- Candidates who have done their primary education outside India and do not have SMC/MCI registration are required to carry original screening test pass certificate issued on NBE letterhead.
Syllabus
The syllabus of the entrance exam may consist of all subjects studied during the MBBS and BDS programmes. The NEET PG syllabus may consist of subjects areas as per the Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by MCI with prior approval of the Government of India. The NEET MDS syllabus will be as per the latest Regulations for BDS courses notified by the DCI (Dental Council of India).
Admit Card
Candidates can get their NEET PG Admit Card 2018 and NEET MDS Admit Card 2018 once registration & scheduling process is successfully completed. After the successful completion of registration cum scheduling process, students will receive system generated acknowledgement on their email Id. Applicants can get their admit card through email. Candidates have to take the print copy of the admit card and affix a latest passport size photograph in the following specifications:
- Photograph should be minimum 35 x 45 mm covering at least 75% face and head of the candidate.
- Photograph should contain caption at the bottom indicating candidate’s name and date of taking the photograph.
- Background of photograph should be white or light colored.
- Photograph should be printed on high quality paper with at least 600 dpi Resolutions.
- Avoid photograph with reflection/shadow or red eyed.
